The EMMA Core Structure and the Mouse Clinic are integrated with the other International Institutions at the Monterotondo Campus and participate in several international projects for functional genomics in the mouse model, with specific financial support by the European Union's Framework Programmes 4-7 and Horizon2020. They are key components of the INFRAFRONTIER research infrastructure, which has been selected by the European Roadmap for Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) and by the Italian Roadmap for Pan-European Research Infrastructures and related national roadmaps, as a "Landmark" distributed infrastructure for the current and future development of the European biomedical research. They also take part in the IMPC, IKMC, FIMRe-IMSR and related International projects and Consortia.
CNR-INFRAFRONTIER-EMMA staff members organize periodic Workshops and Practical Courses on Cryopreservation of Mouse Germplasm at the Monterotondo Campus, in collaboration with the Jackson Laboratory and financial support by European Union's Framework Programmes. They also participate in several other national and international Theoretical and Practical Courses and collaborate with the EMBL-European Learning Laboratory for the Life Sciences (ELLS) and related Institutions in organizing training courses for secondary school teachers and students.
